Blair Fontenot

Chief Deputy Blair Fontenot is a life-long resident of Allen Parish.  His full-time law enforcement career began in 1998 as a member of the Kinder Police Department after graduating McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.  During his career, he has served as a patrol officer, investigator, assistant chief, correctional warden, and chief deputy.  Chief Deputy Fontenot has attended and completed numerous trainings on the State and Federal levels to include Interview and Interrogation, Homicide Investigations, Community Policing, and FBI Counter Terrorist Training.  Chief Deputy Fontenot looks forward on continuing to putting his experience to work for Allen Parish. Chief Civil Deputy

Lynda Hamilton

Lynda Hamilton is the Chief Civil Deputy in charge of Accounting, Human Resources, Tax, Civil and Criminal Collections. Her legal experience spans 40 years, with 18 years as legal secretary/ paralegal and 18 years as paralegal/ office manager with the Allen Parish District Attorney's Office.  

Warden

Michael Manuel

Michael Manuel is a life long resident of Allen Parish; he began his career in law enforcement in 1991 with the Federal Bureau of Prisons when he graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Facility in Glynco Georgia.  In 1994 he attended and successfully completed a course in armed witness escort training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Facility in Artisa New Mexico.  In 1996 Mike was selected as Firearms Instructor for the Federal Detention Center in Oakdale and returned to New Mexico where he completed training to hold this position. Mike retired in August of 2015 after 24 years of service with the Bureau.  In October of 2015 Mike brought his 24 years of Knowledge and experience in working with Federal detainees to the Allen Parish Sheriffs office where he now holds the office of Warden.  Under his leadership the staff and facility hold the distinction of being the only Parish facility in the state of Louisiana to pass and hold the Federally mandated PBNDS certification to hold Federal Detainees over 72 hours.  With this certification the Sheriff can now bring in much needed revenue to expand law enforcement services without putting a burden on the citizens of Allen Parish.   Warden Manuel is currently working with the Sheriff on staffing and operations plans for the new facility that is currently under construction.
