Allen Parish has been conducting training on incident command as a collaboration between the Sheriff's Office and Allen Parish Fire Departments.  The Allen Parish Sheriff's Office, along with Parish Fire Departments and other Emergency services will be conducting a training exercise in Elizabeth, La.

The exercise will start at 8 am on this Saturday, June 28th, and should last about two hours. The exercise will involve a simulated meth lab explosion and chemical fire in a residence and a serious two vehicle accident involving injuries and trapped occupants. The incident will include "worse case" scenarios in order to evaluate response capabilities and the implementation and adherence to Incident Command protocols.

We are letting the public know that it is in fact a drill, so as not to unduly alarm anyone.
