On April 2, 2017, the Allen Parish narcotics task force received a complaint of possible illegal narcotics sales by Adam E. Thomson of Oberlin La.

    Agents then conducted surveillance over the course of several days and observed what appeared to be hand to hand transactions at Thompson's residence located 713 8th Street in Oberlin, Louisiana.

    On April 10, 2017, narcotics agents executed a search warrant upon the residence and found Thompson in possession of approximately 14 ounces of marijuana, a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic hand gun and drug paraphernalia.

    The seized marijuana has a street value of approximately $1,500.00

    Adam E. Thompson, black male with a dob of 4-14-91 was charged with one count of distribution of marijuana, one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. One count of illegal carrying of a weapon.

    Thompson remains in the Allen Parish Jail with his bond to be set.
