Friends,

     A little information to let you know, what is occurring within the parish. Even though we did not receive the amounts of rain that was predicted for our area, we are still going to fall victim to the after effects. Yes, FLOODING is starting to occur around our parish. We have verified as a previous post has stated, that we do have sand and sandbags available at the various police jury barns. So please make preparations to get any of these supplies, if you need to do so. 

    The river levels are as follows:

Calcasieu @ Oakdale- Current stage is at 6.5 feet, but the level will rise to 17 feet by midnight on April 02, which will cause flooding in the area. 

Calcasieu @ Oberlin- Current stage is at 11.4 feet, but the level will rise to 20.04 feet by 6 pm on April 03, which will cause flooding in the area.   

Calcasieu @ Kinder- Current stage is at 16.89 feet, but the level will rise to 22 feet by midnight on April 01, which will cause moderate flooding in the area.
