SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS

Yesterday, afternoon I attended the Allen Parish School Board meeting. During that meeting, I presented to the School Board my plan to provide full-time School Resource Officers (SRO) to schools in Allen Parish.

Under the plan, the Sheriff's Office and School Board would enter into agreement to split the employment costs to create SRO positions. This would be funded out of our respective budgets and DOES NOT INVOLVE ANY NEW TAXES OR TAX PROPOSALS!!
